Deep Tissue Massage in Thekkady
High pressure, slowly applied
High-pressure massage that works slowly into the muscles you feel tight — shoulders, back and legs.
Slow, firm strokes and sustained pressure applied to specific areas such as the shoulders, lower back and legs. It is firmer than Swedish, so tell your therapist at any point if it is too much or not enough.
Who it suits
People with desk-job shoulders, long drives behind them, or tired legs after trekking, who like firm pressure.
Not the right choice if
Anyone who wants a light, gentle massage (choose Swedish or Aroma Therapy), or who has an injury or medical condition they have not told us about.
Good to know
- Arrive 10 minutes early so we can talk through pressure and any areas to avoid.
- Tell us about injuries, pregnancy or medical conditions when you book, so our consulting physiotherapist can advise.

Questions
Will it hurt?
It will feel intense at tight spots, but you set the limit. Tell your therapist to ease off or go firmer at any time.
How is it different from Sports massage?
Deep Tissue is slow, focused pressure. Sports massage adds assisted stretching and suits an active routine.
Can I add stretching?
Ask your therapist at the start of the session.
